A few years ago, author, Susan Messer, was working on her first novel, <em>Grand River and Joy</em>. She came here to the Wall to get some technical advice from the Wallies on how steam boilers operate, and what could go wrong. A steam boiler plays a major role in her novel, which is terrific.
