Trying to locate manufacturer of Radiant system/pipe

One of our techs was called out on an emergency where the clients had steam blowing through a wall. Turns out a Weil McLain CG 5 boiler had run away with no water and was producing super heated water. The radiant system that was not installed as per industry standard was actually using 180* water to heat under wood floor. No balancing valves, purges, tempering valves etc. at least one of the lines actually blew a hole in the pipe. Obviously the previous owner Jimmy Carter's press secretary, was not very savvy on who to hire.

What we are trying to find out is the manufacture of the pipe and/or the manifold so we can at least know what may be compatible. If nothing else, we have located Sharbite 5/8" x 3/8"OD fittings and may use the Watts SS manifolds with copper manifold adapters. Any help will be greatly appropriated by us and the client.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    "In-Floor"

You have an "In-Floor" system made by Maxxon. It used 3/8" Polybutylene tubing (PB) which had NO oxygen barrier. Connecting to any cast iron boiler will cause serious corrosion from O2 diffusion. The manifolds were always subject to leakage, as well.

We use Pex x PB barbed couplings for repair or splicing with Odicum clamps.

I'd highly advise putting a flat plate heat exchanger between the boiler and the radiant side.

Connecting this type of system (no O2 barrier) to any new boiler likely voids the warranty without system separation.
