Low water cut off

Why would my low water indicator turn on , and shut off the boiler, when the water level is not low? I drained the boiler and refilled it to 85% on the sight glass but the low water light still comes on.

Which LWCO
What is the make and modal of the LWCO? If this is the hydrolevel cycleguard then the shutting of might be due to an internal test not a low water condition.0 -
Lwco cleaned?
When you had your boiler serviced/inspected last winter, did the technician clean the probe of the lwco?
Is there a reset switch on the lwco itself. Have you tried it?
Is the red light on the lwco or on the boiler control?--nbc0 -
