UA Star Certification?

Hey guys,



I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with the UA Star Certification. I read some basic info on this <a href="http://www.hvaccertificationcenter.com/ua-star-certification">hvac certification site</a>, but do you guys think it is worth getting? Is it well-recognized in the industry? Is the exam hard?

    UA Star Cert.

    Hi Jim,

    I took the test in October 2003, and passed it. It was a tough test. The test covered all kinds of topics. I think that it has been upstaged by the NATE testing.

    I wish that the UA would market it a little more, because I think it's a great certification to receive. Initially, there was only myself & another journeyman in the local that had it. I think the local has since made it mandatory for all the apprentices to take the test before they graduate the apprenticeship. Good Luck, if you decide to take the test!
