Converting from oil to gas Burnham V905A

My Burnham V905 calls for a Beckett CG 10-5s gas burner.  I am trying to find the inlet gas pipe size.  Can't find the info in any of the Burnham or the Beckett lit.

The burner requires a

minimum of  4.7 in hg pressure.

Burner input gas 808 MBH

about 15 feet between the main and the burner.

Is there a formula to figure this from the above info?

You need the over all length

of your gas lines. then there is a chart to use. You also need the total gas load for the gas lines. The size of the valve really means very little, you adapt to that right near the burner.
Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

    FurnitureGuy!

    Good to hear from you.

If I'm not mistaken, you can also get Carlin or PowerFlame gas burners for those units, and some of these may even have low-high-low firing which if set up right will save some fuel.

I'm working an out-of-town job next week but could investigate this when I return.

    oil to gas V905A Burnham

Hi Steam head!  It has been a long time.  I would like to know if there is a good alternative to the Beckett CG series.  The one I am looking at is lo flame start only.  I had thought about working up a control system to exploit this.  Run the thing off a vapor control for hi lo flame and off at pressuretrol level hi pressure.  I need to check if the Carlin or PowerFlame units will use the same mounting flange as my CF 800.  right now the 2 Beckett units are interchangeable, on paper any way.

We changed the oil burner nozzle just before warm weather hit last year and it made a huge difference.  The Boss is just burnt on oil bills and wants to switch to gas.  If her calcs are right we should pay for its self the first season.
