L408J Vaporstat

Ok i just installed a new weil mclain steam boiler would like to replace the stock pressure with a vaporstat. Will the honeywell L408J work with low voltage? Literature rates the control contacts @120vac and 240vac. And was also looking for a better gauge for this boilet so i could read the pressure in oz of water. Thanks

    Just a Switch

The Vaporstat is just a switch so it should work okay.  You're better off using "high" (120V) voltage if you can as generally it is more reliable.

For a gauge go to the Gauge Store.  http://www.gaugestore.com/products.asp?dept=1123

Has anyone wired a vaporstat into a gas boilet though the 24 vac circuit? ?????

So Rod are you saying to use the vaporstat to make and break the line voltage feeding the boiler instead of the 24 volt control circuit? Has anyone ran across this issue????

    Just Switches

If the Pressuretrol works so will the Vaporstat. Internally they are

practically the same - just switches.  (Delete my comment on 24 volt

systems. I was thinking oil and I'm just not a fan of low voltage control circuits)  If you don't have it attached the Weil
