Are the Enviracom-compatible thermostats worth it?
I just had a new Burnham ES2 boiler installed. 4 zones: 2 for the main floor, 1 for the basement & 1 for the indirect water heater (which has priority I think). System has an outdoor reset. No LCD display on the boiler. I believe this setup is Enviracom-compatible.
Current t-stats are the hardware-store variety programmable Honeywells. I have two, different models, both battery-only, about 6 years old. With the old (56-year-old) boiler they worked fine.
A 5-2 day program is fine.
