Boiler Pressure Gauge replacement

Options
I want to replace the pressure gauge which is located near my pressuretrol on the pigtail. I don't know if the one on there works or not, since it never moves and its scale is from 1 to 30psi.. My pressuretrol device is set at the very lowest possible setting. Can anyone recommend a gauge that has two scales for .oz and psi; So i can ACCURATELY see what my system is operating at?

    Gauge store

This is the place most get low pressure gauges from - http://www.gaugestore.com/products.asp?dept=1123

I have the 0-3PSI on mine but would probably use a lower range one now because I'm operating at 12oz maximum (installed a vaporstat a few years back). Don't go to low because a lot of pressuretrols can't get much below 2PSI

You really should not replace the normal gauge but add the low pressure as an auxiliary gauge; the 0-30 is required my most insurance companies.

adding a new low psi gauge

The 30 psi gauge us mandated by code, so best to leave that be, even if it only reads accurately when things get up to around 30 (and they never should ever get that high anyway -- the 30# gauge is there to let you know only when you have a crazy over-pressured problem).

But to really see what pressure you have, you need a much more accurate, low-pressure gauge. This link are my adventures in putting in a new pigtail and a new gauge. Just tonight, I looked at my gauges, and the low pressure gauge was measuring at 1 psi, while my clunky old 30# gauge was readin at 10 psi, whixh was clearly wrong.
