Water heater or tankless?

I have a single pipe steam system with a tankless water heater, that services, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and there doesn't seem to be enough hot water. Should I add a hot water heater? or is there such a thing as a holding tank, that would be fed by the boiler, especially during the cold winter months when the burner is working for heating the house and could be fed back through the tankless for addtional heat when needed. Or is this tankless system more efficent?
Thanks

Indirect
I am doing this with a new boiler. I had a tankless setup with a very old boiler and it was too hot in the winter and not hot enough in the summer.
It is now night and day with the new indirect tank. I considered the tankless option as it wasn't a lot more money for that boiler option and I wouldn't have the tank taking up space in the basement. But at the end of the day I didn't want to take the risk of not being happy with my hot water quantity.0
