Looking for internal tankless replacement part

Hi All,

I have a slow leak that fills my sight gauge up over a period of a few weeks. I believe it is a leak coming from my internal tankless coil (or my fill valve...not sure which is more likely).

Anyway, I believe my boiler is a WM 68. It is about 25-30 years old I think. The plate on the front is hard to read, but I can make out P-368-S. The internal water heater is on the left side (looking at the front) and is rectangular.

PG 5 of this manual is what it looks like

There are several part numbers I've found across the internet, but I'm not sure what is correct. I can't seem to find the one I think is the right one 509-921-6666 / 35-S-29.

Anyone know where I can find this and how hard it is to replace?

Thanks,

Rob

    Replacement Coils

Hi - I guess the first thing you need to do is figure out which unit (coil or water feed line) is leaking. You should have a valve on the water feed line that you can shut off which would mean if it still leaks after that has been shut of,f it's pretty likely it is the coil that is leaking.

For replacement coils try TFI (Thermo Flow Inc) Ever Hot

They are fairly easy to replace. Be sure to get a new gasket and I would also use new bolts.

It's also not a bad idea to use an impact wrench to remove the old bolts especialy if you run across one that doesn't want to move. Using an impact wrench, rather than an extension with muscle, gives you a better chance of removing the stuck bolt without breaking it.

    Coil Replacement

As a homeowner my experience is rather limited as I've only helped in replacing coils on the steam boilers of several of my friends.  Get all the numbers off your boiler/coil  and then give them a phone call. They will be able to direct you to the proper unit for your boiler.
