is it
Does this area get to hot? Are you having heat when you dont want it? To cold? Is the house a single zone/t-stat or multi zone?0 -
More than one issue
These baseboard units are controlled by opening or closing the damper on the top to reduce the convection currents. That only gets you so far and may not be adequate. Supply water temps, flow rates, controls, piping arrangement and amount of baseboard emitters all play a factor. If it's too hot with the damper closed you may have to cover the fins with aluminum foil (easy and cheap), but a pain to undo and regulate. fIf it's too cold you have to add more baseboard or increase the water temp if possible. From reading your other post it is 100 year old house, so no doubt changes have been made over time. Possibly old cast iron radiators removed and basebard added. Insulation and window upgrades which now unbalance the heat load. You need a comprehensive evaluation of what you have and what your true heat load is for each room or area. The more info you can provide the better.0
