Utica PEG 150, where to tap for HW?

Hello, I have a job where we added a super stor to a modern steamer, yet we are making enough heat to send some energy up into the steam main (just warm).
The boiler water is only 150 (I drained some out and checked with a thermometer), but because of the poor heat transfer the boiler is getting to hot.
I either need to turn down the temp of the WH (less run time) and turn
down the strap on aqua stat. , or find a new way to make the boiler
water cross the boiler more effectively. Right now the route is simply
using the 2" return and the boiler drain, so it's a direct shot right
through the back of the boiler.
I looked at the spec sheet and this boiler has no good taps to pipe into. How good or bad is it to pipe off the bottom of the sight glass? Yes the water will bob and move when the zone is calling, and yes it's a 1/2" tap.
Thanks, Gary
