can the pump go befor the airscoop with exp tank on feed

  • Yes it can,

    but it's not ideal and may lead to problems down the road.  Placing the circulator before the expansion tank will deduct the pressure differential to the suction side of the pump instead of adding the pressure differential on the discharge side.



    I recommend getting a copy of Dan Holohan's "Pumping Away".
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

    Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab
