Overkill?

Hi All,
I need to drain my heating system in order to perform some repairs to the piping.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to swap out a 5 year old ( still working) TACO 007
for a WILO ECO circulator.
I have but one zone on a diverter T system. Would the WILO be overkill? I'm pretty sure I will not recoup the energy cost over the life of the WILO.
How can I rationalize the added expense just because it would be a convenient time to make the change ?
TIA, Roland...........

Do you wait?
For incandescent light bulbs to die before replacing with CFL? An ECM circ will use at worst 50% of the power as a standard circ,if the 007 lasted another 5 years,it would have wasted more than 1/2 the cost of the ECMTo learn more about this professional, click here to visit their ad in Find A Contractor.0 -
