No Sales Tax Weekend MASS

Member Posts: 4,832
I think I get this question every year, how are we supposed to answer the question, "can we take advantage of the "no sales tax weekend?" This is just for retailers right? I have a mini ductless ac i need to get installed for a good customer, but I don't know how to nicely word the answer to him. Thanks, Gary

Sales Tax Holiday Rules
Here is a link to the requirements for the sales tax holiday.
It basically says that a purchase for personal (non business) use qualifies for the sales tax holiday provided it doesn't fall into a few specific categories and it does not exceed $2500.00 for an individual item.
If you meet these rules, you should be able to sell the ductless AC unit to him. You can buy as many items as you want as long as they are each less than $2500.ii
