flo chek question

Can anyone tell me if I can completely stop the flow of water by turning the thumb screw on a taco flo chek 220 valve? I want to remove some piping without draining the entire system so I'm hoping that I can simply stop the flow by closing the valve, then remove the piping below with just a little water leakage.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Don't take this the wrong way,but if you have to ask this type of question,a Vitodens 200 installation is probably not a good ideaTo learn more about this professional, click here to visit their ad in Find A Contractor.0
