Are there any strong opinions out there regarding the use of a D'Mand (ACT Metlund) recirc pump system vs a Taco system on a really big house? We need to use several motion sensors for activation.

They are
The same. The technology comes Metlund, using a Taco pump. Taco private labels the technology, buys components from Metlund and assembles/sells them as Tacos. Uponor also private labels the Metlund. Excellent system, btw. I'd suggest that if you have design questions that you go directly to Metlund.0 -
Don't Like Motion Sensors
I think controlling these recirc pumps with motion detectors is wasteful. Why use up several gallons of hot water just because you want to brush your teeth?
Use the doorbell type switches, you get used to them quickly. There was an error rendering this rich post.
