COIL LEAKS
No I am not gonna name any manufacturers out there but you know who you are. I am so tired of the lip service that we get. Everybody is having coil and tx valve failures. And who was the Idiot that decided to cover a hvac unit for 10 years parts and labor? Does anybody out there know where I can buy a car, computer, truck tires, cell phone and has a 10 years on everything. Dell won't even give you 30 days lmoa rotff smfb. I am gonna give you an example of people. Owner calls mad at the world a/h leaking water in his basement. Yes we put it in four years ago. I tell him we will get there in the am, he is mad because his carpet is getting wet, well turn it off, why no I will get hot lol, OK you will have more water. Get out to the owners weekend home and its very clear someone stood on the drain line . OK its hard to snap schedule 80 3/4 PVC pipe. we fixed it gave him a bill , know he wants to know who is gonna pay for carpet damage and mole on the wall. Not me I said call your home owners boy that really pissed him off .. OK back on the track of the coils come on guys you make the copper so thin i could fart a hole through it and the tx valves are so poorly made looks like the blind made them, see i can say that that cause i am blind in one eye and cant see out the other rotf. Gosg great to blow steam off and those big companies cant say a word because they know every last word i said was true.

Rant
lol.David we all feel your pain. The problem most customer fail to understand that the 10 year labor warranty is not a warranty that will pay for full cost of the labor but a portion of that labor that one charges.
its our job to explain to the customer that. Lets use trane as a example they might pay me fifty dollars to replace that expansion but my cost of doing business require for example only it would cost three hundred to replace the valve. So that means that customer will have to pay me the remainder of 250 dollars.
The 10/10 warranty is a great marketing tool to sell a products,However one must be honest with the customer that its not a full labor warranty. That there is no way the manufacturer will pay full labor.cost of doing business. How can they?
Again it comes down to us being our own worse enemie.0
