Boiler with Closely Spaced Tee - main pump on in or out side?

I have a Munchkin Boiler powering a radiant floor setup. Love it!
The setup runs a closely spaced tee coming off the boiler. When I installed it, the manufacturer's spec's said to put the main pump on the side coming IN to [corrected] the boiler. A pro installer recently told me I should have put it on the side going OUT of [corrected] the boiler.
Does it matter?

pumping
Yes, it is always best to pump through the main heat-exchanger on a condensing boiler. I am a huge fan of the Caleffi hydro separators (548).0 -

I'm not sure how....
your manual showed piping the boiler pump or if you may have misread it, but the "boiler" pump is typically installed on the boiler "return" pumping away from the expansion tank and against the system pressure drop which in this case in the heat exchanger.
Here is a link for the Munchkin manual from their website:

Checkout part 5 for piping details. Hope this is a help.Terry O0 -
correction - pumping on "in" side
Sorry, my original post was written backwards. My pump is on the "IN" side per Munchkin's specs. The advice I got was to have it on the "OUT" side.

Leave it
where it is. You have piped it correctly, my friend.8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour
Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab0
