Tekmar Tn2 or other

Options
Have a new install, thought we could use a Tekmar house control and 527 thermostats. This is what we are trying to get, want individual tt's to be able to turn up and down temporarily if they want and a central control to have the program. The problem I am running into with the Tekmar and Honeywell is they do not offer a system that will allow each thermo to have separate programs, all up, down, etc. at the same time.

If we go with a programmable thermo then the occupant can too much leeway with the temperature and the owner has to go around and set, adjust programs. Just looking for something centrally located controlling the 5 different zones independently and still allowing the occupant the freedom to turn up or down the temperature somewhat. Not that out of line is it.

What I'd do in your case

is to use programmable thermostats and have a Tekmar or other brand of outdoor reset control limiting the system's water temp according to the outside temp. Then if someone cranked their thermostat way up, the room would only get so warm.

    Tekmar t'stats

Did you look at Tekmar's complete line of thermostats? The 527, with a 479 User Switch, you can put all thermostats into a nightime, or away mode with just one button.  Go to Tekmar's site and scroll through their entire list of t'stats to find the one for your system.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

The tekmar thermostat 527 can operate on one of four available system-wide schedules. In order to use a system schedule, a centralized timer model 033 can be used. The 527 then follows along on the schedule setup on the 033.

Most residential building occupants typically do not use more than two different schedules in a home. For example, the Kitchen, Bathrooms and Living room areas could operate on Schedule 1, and the Bedrooms could operate on Schedule 2.
