Corroded fins on condensing unit?

What would cause this? Not near salt water and no male dogs around!

    Corrosion

    Where on the cond coil fins is the corrosion? Bottom 2-3-4 rows? All over? Signs of corrision on the components in the control panel? How far from salt water?

    5 miles from LI Sound. The corrosion is much less on the portion facing house,and is worse at the bottom 1/3

    Hi! Rain runoff ? Sand erosion from splash back  by rain?  6" of debris in the cond unit? Lots and Lots of male spiders?
