leaking dunkirk boiler warranty

I had a Dunkirk boiler 3ES1.00C installed in my house in 10/03.When the contractor installed the system he never left the owners manual or the warranty info.I paid cash for the install and he gave me a reciept that I cant find! Here it is less than 8 years later and my boiler is cracked on top!According to the Dunkirk website, thier records only go back to 05.But someone has said that they think this boiler has a 12 year warranty! I, at odds here, not sure what to do. The co. that installed the boiler had set the pressure at 5psi. and I turned it down to 2psi after reading info online, also the piping around the boiler is all wrong. What course of action should I take? Any help would be of great asisstance.

Call them
they should have it on file somewhere. If they can't (or won't) find it, you know not to use that brand again. All Steamed Up, Inc.
