Please help..
I am working on a One-Pipe steam system. i have many radiators with the air vent on the Valve side of the radiator..
to the best of my knowledge i believe this is incorrect due to the fact that the steams fills up the valve side of the radiator first and pushes the air to the far side away from the steam. i need to know if it is necesary to correct this problem
thanks-

also..
the air vent is located on the valve side, directly above the valve, at the top of the radiator. i dont know if that helps.0 -
you are on the right track
steam will enter the radiator and travel to the top of the first section, the one with the vent. it will enter the vent and close it off, theoretically stopping the flow of steam into the radiator. has this been your experience?0
