Old High velocity AC system

We have a customer who has an old Dunham Bush / Spacepak High Veocity AC system installed in 1971. Can just the condenser be replaced? Can just the Condenser, Air Handler/coil be replaced without changes to existing distribution systerm? The existing system has been relativly trouble free since installation probably should be in a museum.

Depends
The RIGHT way would be a new air handler and outdoor unit. That also could mean additional supplies for increased airflow. But if they refuse, you could find a "dry 22" condenser and slap it on that relic and hope for the best.0 -
1971 ?
For an evap coil//blower , 40 years is RARE ! Let me say again, RARE!!! .Now,the system ducting,is a different story, depending on a few things. The " SEER " rating of the evap would be real low ! Maybe 6-8 ? Was SEER around in 71' ? Was it EER? O.K. now, the SEER of the "dry charged " is 13 and thats not good math !0
