Will PEX melt if it is against a hot residential steam heat pipe?

    pex and steam pipe

    why find out the hard way why not add some insulation the the pex to be safe

    I intend on doing

    Something to prevent contact between pipe and PEX, but was curious to know if anyone knew for sure.
