Steam radiators and hardwood floors

Has anyone had experience with raising old steam radiators in order to install new hardwood floors. I am installing 3/4" hardwood flooring in most of my house and am looking for ways to fit the flooring under the radiators. My brother had idea of double elbows (swing to adjust height) If I can get the pipes apart.

I would remove the spud from the radiator
and use 2 street 45's to gain the height.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

radiator
becomes conductive heater when it gets hot so tha cold air from the floor flows up thru the rad. If the rad is cooler than the room air, it might condense room air=? = mmight wanna put a pan under it0 -
