Gar-Ber R-2000 filter versus the "R" model

Does the Gar-Ber R-2000 filter offer everything their R model filter does in addition to "waterblock" water separator? Does the water separator reduce the particle filter's size to accommodate the water cartridge in the same size canister, so you'd have to be changing the filter more frequently? Is the R-2000 compatible with the Filter Restriction Indicator gauge that tells you when to change the filter?
