What size vac pump

What size vac pump is really needed for Residential work? Robinair has a nice 10CFM pump, but I doubt that's going to save hours of time vs a 6 CFM pump. Our average system is 3 - 5 ton, nothing bigger. For the price of a ten, I can get 2 - 6's

I don't see the need for 10 cfm.
I have an old Robinair 4 cfm. Had it for years. Serves me fine on residential and what little bit of commercial that I do.
Higher cfm is supposed to mean quicker evacuation. I have no complaints. Maybe if I was doing 15 or 20 ton jobs, then maybe. 5 cfm is my target when I buy new vac pumps.0
