opinions on using pumps with ifc's instead of seperate flow checks

opinions on using pumps with flow checks built in versus piping in seperate flow checks. and can i replace a flow check built into the pump

This is my opinion.
Personally, I only use the IFC's when I am supply side pumping and the circ will be in the vertical position. With the design of the IFC, that is the only time they work, IMHO. I have had problems with them on the return and the radiation is above the circ.
Yes the IFC can be changed. It pops out easily from the volute. My suggestion is to supply side pump in the vertical or use flo-checks.
