are smaller hydronic systems (by water volume) more likely to get contaminated?

    Not particularly, why?

I mean, if you have a given amount of contamination introduced to a smaller volume it will be more contaminated than if diluted in a larger volume (obviously). But all things being equal, volume should not be a factor in attracting a higher degree of contamination than a different volume.

What prompts the question? What are you experiencing?
