Oil Boiler Rebates

I was just a ConEd / Energy Affordability Association meeting in NYC. They are offering rebates on new gas boilers installed with an efficiency over 80%. The rebates max out at $2,500. Not bad.

Does anyone know about any rebates for newly installed oil boilers?

    Rebates

I was hoping someone knew of rebates for oil ... I have not seen them for oil for some time now...

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Large gas companies

have plenty of money for rebates- and they know that once they lock you into gas, they'll get their money back as the gas price goes up. Which it will.

Oil companies? Their customer base is eroding and that cuts down on rebate money.

    Bad news/good news

Bad news first, no rebates! Good news?  A  proper system can save you 30-40% and at $4/gallon,you can look at that  as a pretty good rebate!

    Buderus GB-124BE

To the best of my knowledge, the Buderus GB-124BE, blue flame burner/boiler combination qualifies for the $1500 federal tax credit.

It is the only oil boiler that I have seen that qualifies for the fed tax credit.
