what to use as medium in radiant heat

in Radiant Heating
i just bought a house with a electric hot water heater to heat water for my in floor heat in my basement and garage slabs...i'm wondering if i can use automotive antifreeze or do i need a expensive fancy special antifreeze...do i mix it 50/50 with water...i live in twin cities, minnesota...i have a closed loop geo thermal air/water system and i'm looking to buy a desuperheater in the future to warm the water....so i'd like to get the right fluid in there now that will work for that application as well...thanks so much!

    Why anti freeze?

    i HATE antifreeze, and will only use it if fuel supply can be interrupted, electricity is undependable, structural preclusion (uninsulated overhang) or the house is remote and unoccupied for long periods of time and could go into a freezing condition without someone noticing.

    If you do antifreeze

    you need inhibited propylene glycol only in hydronic systems. as a bonus, it's non toxic, so if there is a spill you won't kill any kids or pets.
