does anyone have info or advice for converting a one pipe steam radiator to a threaded steel pipe base board fin type element. my plan is to replace the old rad. to a 3 foot section of baseboard . can this be done without affecting the normal operation of the boiler? will the new bsbd heater give off sufficient heat or might it even out perform the old radiator?

What is the
height, width, and thickness of the old radiator? Can we see a photo of it from the side?0 -
baseboard installation
sometimes there can be problems with inadequate heat from mixed baseboard-radiator systems because of the difference in the thermal mass of both. that room may become cold after the switch.--nbc0 -
Radiator/Fin Tude Comparison
Using the attached chart you should be able to compare the output of the fin tube vs the old radiator.
