Hot Water Heating is out of Control!

Hello everyone, we have recently been having problems with our heating system. The thermostat is set to 70, but the house is almost at 80. We have replaced the thermostat with a Honeywell CT87K, but we are having the same problem. We have recently replaced the gas regulator, and the relay on the boiler. Our boiler is very, VERY old (Homart Gas Fired Boiler from Sears) but we had a technician come out several months ago to clean it,and he said it was in extremely good condition for it's age. Any help would be appreciated, if anyone needs any more info please ask. Thanks in advance~ Dan.

Flow Control Valves
You may have a bad Flow control valve .... Hot water would rise up to the radiation with out one ... Yours could be dirty or stuck ... They are normally above the boiler on the heating supply pipe ... Most of the time all you need is to clean the weight, stem and seat with a fine steel wool ..There was an error rendering this rich post.
