Can anyone suggest an economical piece of equipment to replace my Heat Timer which runs my WM 88 series 9 ?
I would prefer something digital that I have more control over ..
Thanks

Tekmar 279
The Tekmar 279 is a nice digital steam cycle controller with a lot of features, including indoor sensing. It is not cheap, but a lot less expensive than the latest Heat-Timers.
Several people on the forum are using it, so possibly one of them can give you some feedback.
What Heat-Timer are you presently using? Electromechanical EPC or EPU?

boiler control
i am using a honeywell visionpro thermostat, with a remote sensor in the coldest apartment bedroom. the main unit is in my area, so i have exclusive control, over my 55 radiators.
if you have been reading posts here for a while, you will know that there is general agreement that night setback is not economical, as the boiler burns so much fuel to recover, although this model does have that feature. look at the specs on honeywells website, or on pex supply, and see if it's right for you.--nbc0
