Daikin Altherma Training Seminar

Hello All,
We have been spending the current winter evaluating the performance of
our Daikin Altherma Reverse Cycle heat pump. The Altherma's electrical usage for the building during the winter has been averaging about 20 to 25 Kwh per day. Generally, there is little to no usage during the day with the operation starting in the
evening and lasting into the early to mid morning. We are trying to
actively make these units an option for our customer's projects. The
Altherma units are a more viable option for our customers when we can
proudly speak of our own system. Besides operating the system this winter, the Altherma also provided chilled water last cooling season for the radiant cooling of our building.
The Daikin residential solutions sales representative stopped by the shop for a
review of our unit and chat a bit. The one thing that became clear from
the chat is that Daikin wants certified installers for their Altherma
units. Without a certified installer, they do not want to even sell the
unit let along provide warranty support. The rep wants to
schedule a certification seminar (in part on our behalf) in the month of February
somewhere in Maine or NH. The duration of the class would be one day.
Our part of the deal would be to find installing contractors to attend
the seminar though Daikin would also be sending other contractors. The
seminar might actually be at a F.W. Webb location as they seem to be the
likely distributor of the product.
If anybody has any interest in the seminar, then please contact me so I can keep a list of potential attendees and provide follow up information. Reply to the following email address: sales@nrtradiant.com
Thanks, David
