in THE MAIN WALL
can anybody recomend a good water alarm for basements. HO would like ac & dc power.

    is the ONLY U.L. approved device that I am aware of. If installed by an authorized dealer, the HO can get a reduction in their homeowners insurance.

    Not certain about the AC/DC gig, but there are simple inexpensive inverters available.

    The WB200 Waterbug from Winland will fit the bill. You would just need a power supply with backup battery, easy and readily available.
