Got a 115 with a beckett nx on it and the throttle ring keeps sooting up, any ideas?

Go to combustion 101.
Start with your electrode settings, then your combustion air.
By sooting up, is it oily with coke on it or is it heavy powdery soot. There is a difference. Oily coke is a sign of unburnt fuel or incomplete combustion. In that case I would look at the electrodes or a fouled nozzle. If it is heavy powder soot, then look at the combustion air.
What did the your combustion test numbers look like? What was the smoke?0 -
