economizer???

hey everyone. im having trouble with a york packaged unit with a w7212 honeywell economizer. i have been to this job twice for no heat. upon arrival i found the heat running normal, but also find the economizer in the fully open position. i disconnect the plug and reconnect it and it closes, then come back to find it open. if im not mistaken i thought the economizer only opens on a call for a/c, depending on the enthalpy control am i missing something???

Sounds like an issue with either the motor or the enthalpy controller....does your unit use the economizer for exhaust, ventilation or outside air control.....this can happen in either heating or cooling...sounds like some more trouble shooting is in order. Is the unit on an energy management system and are the settings correct?

all its for is free cooling during the a/c mode. its a 7.5 ton york packaged unit

Still sounds like an issue with the control or the motor. Try the AC section of the Wall for more help.
