Gas Furnace Not Kicking On

Hi,
I have a Carrier Furnace and it's not kicking on with warm air right now. The pilot light is lit. When I flip the thermostat to Heat and Auto nothing happens. When I flip the thermostat to Fan On the fan comes on, but blows cool air. I was wondering what the problem could be, and what I could possibly try to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd

You could...
You can make sure the blower door is on correctly and engaging the safety switch. Check to make sure the electric power switch is on. If you're feeling adventurous, you can take off the thermostat and jump the red and white wires and if the furnace fires, you can replace the thermostat. Beyond that, you could grab the Yellow Pages and look up heating and air conditioning repair companies and call one of 'em.0
