new furnace
Just for clarification purposes you say that you have a forced air unit? So this is actually a furnace, not a boiler. Without taking a look at the unit it would be unwise to give exact advise. How old is the unit? Did anyone do a test on the heat exchanger to determine if it has a crack in it? These are very important questions when determining what to do. That being said, the replacement cost of a high efficiency furnace is not that great and many states have a good rebate program in place to help homeowners.0
