Thermoflo vs. Weil Mclain

Hi,



I'm just wondering if anyone has any opinions to offer on Thermoflo steam boilers vs. Weil Mclain? The first of a few contractors I'm getting estimates from tells me it's a $350 difference installed... so I'm guessing a couple hundred wholesale. The EG series W-M and the GSA series thermoflo seem very similar, and I know W-M has owned Thermoflo for a number of years. The price difference is pretty trivial, so if there's ACTUALLY a quality difference I'd rather upgrade. But if they're really identical boilers coming off the same production line with different brand names for marketing reasons, then there's obviously no point.

    Or Utica...

    If anyone replying could add their comments on Utica boilers as well, it would be appreciated - just got another quote that was for a Utica.
