Best Pipe fittings?

Hello Fellas:

I want to install a pair Gorton #2's (two at the end of the main Pipe) in a One-Pipe System

I want to do an antler set-Up, (I want it to look really nice) Can I use Brass Pipe?

I know it is a bit expensive, But the end of the main is in a really nice Laundry Room

If no brass, is Galvanized better than Black Pipe? (in regards to steam??)

I really am mesmerized by G.W GILL guys...(Black Pipe with Blue Pipe thread sealer)

But I rather the brass (I do have some leftover elbows)

IS brass recommended or NOT?

Is Galvanized better than Black??

    No galvanized

Brass would be fine but don't use galvanized pipe because it sometimes flakes and can get into the vent and might keep it from closing.

Black is what I would use

I have been in a bind and only had brass fittings on hand for a quick repair but I felt guilty using that brass on a steam pipe. Just do not use galvanized. Paint it if the black is an issue. Of course if the brass is bought and paid for it will do no harm, just over kill is all.
Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

    paint

They make some nice brass engine paint.  Just point the black pipe.  IIRC, the Gorton is painted anyway.
