Hello
I have cast iron radiators that have one pipe connections. One leaks I believe where it connects to the shut off valve.I tried teflon tape on the threads but it still will leak,Also the shut off valve doesn't work. Are they available at plumbing supply stores,Should there be a gasket or o ring that goes between the radiator and shut off valve.
thank you

The valve should only be shut off if
The radiator is removed. Yes they are available at plumbing supplies. No there is no gasket. No teflon does not help seal them. the sealing surface is the faces that meet not the threads. alignment is important. A bit of pipe dope on the threads to lube them and making sure the face is clean and bur free with maybe a slight coat of pipe dope will help it to seal.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
