Homart Automatic Gas Heat 600 (very old)

Hi, we have a very VERY old system in our home. A Homart Automatic Gas Heat 600, it was made by Sears Roebuck over 50 years ago I think. Anyways, we recently replaced the thermostat control unit and the gas regulator. The control on the unit is set at 190 degrees (same as the last one) but our thermostat upstairs is set at 60, but the thermostat reads the house temperature at almost 80. I was hoping somebody had an idea as to why this is happening, we went from no heat, to blistering heat! I've contacted Sears but the system is so old most of their contractors don't know how to work on it, and don't bother to for very long before they suggest we get a newer more efficient system. Thanks in advance ~Dan

Find someone who works on old systems
These are about as simple of boilers as they come. You just need a good tech to deal with. We work on them all the time. Seattle.0
