We live in a 3 floor brownstone. Hot water radiators, each floor controlled by its own thermostat. 3rd floor no heat. 1st and 2nd heating well. I bled third floor radiator and got all cold water no air. Cant figure out next step. Was working well last week.

Control / circulator
Do you have separate circulators or zone valves? Check to see if the circulator is running for that floor. Or check to see if the zone valve is working.
Is the thermostat actually calling for heat? Are the control relays pulling?0 -
In my experience, loss of heat in a single zone....
...generally happens by 1. interruption of flow due to mechanical closure (a valve is off, electrical or otherwise); 2. pump failure or undersizing; 3. entrained air in the piping circuit.; 4. loss of static pressure to lift the water to fill the zone.Contact John "JohnNY" Cataneo, NYC Master Plumber, Lic 1784
