Hello gentlemen ,
I am a do yourself home owner with some basic know how in copper tubing.
Now my Question . I am running an old steam system. There is a hairline leak in one of the copper 1" pipes going to a radiator. Is patching it with a Metal epoxy putty repair made for engines and pipes an option at least until after the winter?

it could be the pipe is beyond that though. Does the crack run the length of the pipe? It should be run in iron pipe any ways.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

I' ve had good luck with
and epoxy and tape Pipe Repair Kit sold at home depot (inexpensive ) in the plumbing department . You soak a piece of fabric tape in a bucket of water and wrap it around the pipe it worked great for me . I'll change the pipe in nice weather0
