where's all the condensate???

I have a Burnham 4 section steamer Installed 4/97. Always ran great-plenty of heat. Not too noisey etc... 3 yrs ago a local oil company added an auto feeder(owner is 80+ and legally blind) Ok that makes sense. This year it feeds every cycle. I'm guessing the return that runs in a crawl space that I cant get to just yet has a leak, and condensate is going into the ground...The boiler needed water maybe once a month in previous years. Now the feeder cycles mid heating cycle when the lwco is looking for h20.. Could there be something I'm missing?

It might be that return
or it might be the boiler itself. If there is white "smoke" coming out of the chimney when the boiler runs, the boiler has a hole above the waterline. All Steamed Up, Inc.
