Mass rebates

The new rebate forms are out for high-efficiency equipment installation in Mass- anyone know what boiler has a 96% AFUE or greater?  These qualify for $1,500 rebate instead of $1,000 for 90%+...

    would like to thank all participating contractors for a successful

    2010. As a result of your hard work, thousands of NSTAR, National Grid,

    Columbia Gas, Unitil, New England Gas, Berkshire Gas, and Blackstone Gas

    customers will reap the benefits of the GasNetworks rebates this

    winter, including lower gas usage, increased comfort, and improved

    overall home performance.



    We would like to inform you of some

    exciting new rebates in Massachusetts. Effective January 1, 2011,

    GasNetworks will be offering the following additional rebates:

    High-Efficiency, Natural-Gas, Hot-Water Boilers with 96% or greater AFUE qualify for a rebate of $1,500High-Efficiency, Natural-Gas, Warm-Air Furnaces with 96% or greater AFUE (with an ECM) qualify for a rebate of $800High-Efficiency, On-Demand, Tankless Water Heaters with 0.95 EF or greater qualify for a rebate of $800High-Efficiency, Storage Water Heaters with 0.67 EF qualify for a rebate of $100We

    will be discontinuing the rebates for steam boilers and natural-gas,

    warm-air furnaces with AFUE rating 92% without ECM, effective December

    31, 2010.



    We will also be changing the rebate levels of the following measures on January 1, 2011:

    Furnace w/ECM, AFUE rating 94% = $600Furnace w/ECM, AFUE rating 92% = $400High-Efficiency, Indirect Water Heater = $400High-Efficiency, On-Demand, Tankless Water Heater 0.82 EF = $500Rebate

    levels that are remaining unchanged for 2011 are Forced Hot Water

    Boiler 85% and 90% AFUE, On-Demand Condensing Unit 90% AFUE and

    Non-Condensing Unit 85% AFUE, After-Market Boiler Reset Controls,

    Storage Water Heater .62EF, and the Condensing Gas Water Heater at 95%

    thermal efficiency.



    The new 2011 GasNetworks rebate forms will be available soon at www.masssave.com, www.gasnetworks.com,

    and at your local supply house. We will honor the 2010 forms for

    eligible-equipment installations through December 31, 2010, however, we

    must receive your paperwork on or before January 31, 2011. Please

    discard all 2010 rebate forms after December 31, 2010.



    We look

    forward to your support in 2011 and we will continue to support you.

    While you are promoting and installing high-efficiency heating- and

    water-heating equipment, please tell your residential customers about

    some other exciting offers, such as the 0% Heat Loan, insulation rebate

    (75% up to $2,000), and CoolSmart rebates for HVAC systems. You can

    simply refer them to the Mass Save Web site (listed above) so they can

    take advantage of all the energy-efficiency offers available. That will

    really help your business in the coming year.
