replacing a VHE
IF it lasted that long, Weil still makes a great line of boilers, several of which will do the job. The Ultra gas boiler is a great little unit, but will not condense as much on a high temp system and will not be as high on the efficiency level as it can be with a radiant or low temp system, but it's what I have in my house and its a great unit. There are other gas boilers out there, many of which are very good, but remember a claim of 90%+ efficiency is usually dedicated to use on radiants. You still condense with a modern boiler, just not as much. The Weil GV boiler is a great replacement as well.0 -
Re: replacement
as every one will tell you, I am a fan of Triangle tube boilers, been a real solid performer for me over close to 5 years. I have many installed with next to no problems. Look it over. Also the new Lochinvar wall mount comes out this month, pretty much same heat x and burner/blower as the Triangle. Will be worth a look also. Tim0
